Mothers® Professional Rubbing Compound works with your favourite buffer to quickly cut through water spots, and effortlessly remove heavy oxidation, car wash scratches and other defects from all paint types.

May also be used to remove 2,000 grade and finer sanding scratches.

Directions for use

FOR GLOSSY PAINTS ONLY

1. If applicable, set buffer speed at medium to medium high.
2. Dispense a 12cm ribbon or compound onto a cutting pad or buffing pad or bonnet. Start machine slowly to minimise slinging.
3. Using light pressure, work on a small area overlapping the path by 50% in at least three directions.
4. Reduce pressure as the product begins to dry. Do not buff dry.
5. Clean pad or bonnet as needed to reduce clogging.
6. Wipe surface clean with a soft dry microfibre towel.
7. Follow with Mothers Professional Finishing Polish then Mothers wax of your choice for unsurpassed depth and shine.

IMPORTANT: remove excess or splattered compound with a soft damp cloth before moving onto the next are to be buffed.

I had a small bingle with my car at home. This was a blessing in disguise. After the repair, the panel beater recommended a rubbing compound to remove small difficult to remove spots on the car due to bird and insect droppings and other small dirt spots.

The panel beater recommended a tiny drop of the rubbing compound on a micro fibre rag. Remember it is a tiny drop.

Then you rub the rag gently over the spot and the spot is removed. Wash/rinse and/or wipe streaks.

I have used this technique on cleaning my friend's 2012 Corolla headlights and taillights. The head and tail lights are still gleaming after three months.

This bottle of rubbing compound was purchased for $27 posted. Other well-known auto accessory retailers are selling this for $35 excluding postage!

Don't be fooled by cheaper well-known ($20) rubbing compounds! It is false economy because you will be using more of the $20 bottle than using a few drops of the Mothers brand.
